Coffee and Snack Morning Every third Friday of the month, families arrive to the warm smell of coffee along with baked goods, fresh fruit and other delectable fare. Our way of helping one day feel a bit less rushed for everyone!
Music with Roger Tincknell Roger is a two-time Parents' Choice Award-winning recording artistwho includes multicultural, environmental and family songs. Roger's repertoire includes original and contemporary material, as well as traditional folk styles. Ballads, swing, country blues, bluegrass, and cowboy yodeling are interspersed with Latin American and international folksongs. Roger accompanies himself on guitar, banjo, mandolin, Irish bazouki, Puerto Rican and Venezuelan cuatros, South American charango, Native American Flute, harmonica and piano and percussion.
November Community Feast A tradition started in 1994 as a way to celebrate our community of children and their families! Each November the children and the staff are invited to bring any of their family members and/or friends to the school to join in a sharing of food (a full feast!), fun and laughter!
The Women in Our Lives Special luncheon in May to show our appreciation for a woman in the life of each of our children. An invitation is extended by each child to invite their mother, aunt, grandmother, sister or other friend to join them for lunch.
The Men in our Lives During the comfortable spring season, an invitation for lunch is extended by each child to their father, uncle, grandfather, brother, or other friend of their choosing to show appreciation for the joy they bring to their lives.
Family Appreciation Cookout Family and friends gather at the home of the executive director for an evening of dinner, drinks and socializing. A chance to get to know other families and to relax on a summer evening without having to do any of the work. Just bring a chair, sit back and enjoy!
